Welcome to Early College Worcester
Early College Worcester is an initiative coordinated by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE) and Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) in consultation with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education (EOE). The program is run by a collaborative group of staff from the Worcester Public Schools (WPS), Quinsigamond Community College (QCC), and Worcester State University (WSU).
Providing hundreds of WPS students with the opportunity for greater success in college, free college classes, free books, mentoring support, college preparation activities, and more, is expensive. Early College Programs allow students to receive advanced learning opportunities including college credits towards an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree while attending high school. It is only through a public-private partnership and generous funding can such life-changing programming be brought to the young people of our community.
We encourage all stakeholders to learn more about Early College Worcester, support efforts to bring funding to Early College and other K-16 initiatives, and volunteer to be involved. If you would like to learn more or support Early College Worcester, please click below.
